Well the last few months have been interesting but some fun stuff has happened too, in August I was brave and made the move from melt and pour and hand milled soap to really going back to scratch. I've been making what is called CP or Cold Process soap, if you don't already know what CP is it's when you take lye and oils to make some pretty marvelous soaps. I did about 2 years of research before I took that step but I must say all the hard work was sure worth it.
I know so many people think OMG you used lye to make soap, but really real soap has always been made with lye, up until detergents came along. My skin has become sensitive due to years of illness and the treatments, and the detergents in most store bought soaps made it worse.
